Steel crowbar, 600 mm long, made from 16 mm diameter bar. A tool designed for demolition and dismantling work and for pulling nails.
The thickness of the bar determines the tool's resistance to bending and twisting. A 16 mm bar provides sufficient rigidity for typical demolition work in residential construction while keeping the weight of the tool moderate.
This length is a compromise between leverage and manoeuvrability. It allows work in rooms of standard height and generates sufficient leverage to break building materials.
Two different ends extend the range of applications. The wider 30 mm end is ideal for splitting and prising apart larger elements, while the narrower 23 mm end allows work in tighter gaps.
The bend angle of the larger end has been chosen for pulling nails. It provides an optimal working position when prising and allows effective use of leverage when extracting fasteners.
| Model | GEKO G72180 |
| Overall length | 600 mm |
| Steel bar diameter | 16 mm |
| Width of smaller end | 23 mm |
| Width of larger end | 30 mm |
| Bend angle of larger end | 100° |
| Material | Steel |
| Tool type | Crowbar |
Use the 30 mm end for prising apart wider elements and for jobs requiring a larger contact area. Use the 23 mm end for more precise work in narrow gaps and for pulling nails from tighter spots.
When extracting nails, use the bent end, positioning the crowbar at an angle that allows you to use leverage. To increase the prying force and protect the surface, place a piece of wood or a board under the crowbar.
After finishing work, clean the crowbar of any remaining material. Unprotected steel can corrode, so the tool should be stored in a dry place. With intensive use, the ends may become blunt - they can be sharpened or dressed periodically.
