Ratchet mechanism

Use and maintenance
Checking compatibility
Before starting work, check the width of the clamp – the tool handles bands up to 10 mm. Wider clamps may require pliers with a larger jaw opening. The clamp width is usually stated on its packaging, or can be checked by measuring it with a vernier caliper.
Clamping technique
