Cylindrical Masonry Drill Bit 12 x 200 mm YT-4380 YATO

Cylindrical drill bit designed for drilling into concrete, stone and brick. A working diameter of 12 mm with an overall length of 200 mm provides sufficient drilling depth in structural materials.

Features of the cylindrical masonry drill bit

12 mm working diameter

The 12 mm diameter is a standard size used when fitting M10 wall plugs, for electrical installations and for fixing medium-load components. It allows precise matching to the typical fixing systems used in construction.

200 mm overall length

The 200 mm length makes it possible to drill holes with a working depth of up to approximately 150-160 mm, which is sufficient for installation in single-leaf walls and for most service installation applications. This length gives the drill bit stability when working in hard materials.

Cylindrical design

The cylindrical type features a single spiral flute for clearing debris. This design ensures that concrete dust is effectively removed from the hole during drilling, which reduces resistance and speeds up work in concrete and stone.

For mineral materials

The drill bit is designed for work in concrete, reinforced concrete, natural and artificial stone, and solid and perforated brick. The tip geometry is suited to hammer drilling in materials of high hardness and dense structure.

Applications of the 12 x 200 mm drill bit

  • Fitting M10 wall plugs in concrete and masonry walls
  • Electrical installations – drilling holes for flush-mounted boxes and pass-through holes
  • Installing ventilation and air conditioning systems in structural walls
  • Fitting brackets, supports and fixing elements in concrete
  • Installation work in residential and industrial construction
  • Drilling fixing holes in foundations and load-bearing walls
  • Preparing the substrate for anchoring steel structures
  • Plumbing installations passing through concrete walls

Drill compatibility

Cylindrical masonry drill bits require the use of a hammer drill or rotary hammer with an SDS-Plus chuck. The hammer action is essential for effective drilling in hard mineral materials. Standard non-hammer drills will not deliver sufficient working performance.

Use and maintenance

When drilling into concrete, a rotational speed of 800-1,200 rpm with the hammer function engaged is recommended. The drill bit should be held perpendicular to the surface with moderate pressure applied. Excessive pressure can cause the tip to overheat.

Periodically withdrawing the drill bit from the hole helps to remove debris and prevents overheating. If reinforcement is encountered in the concrete, reduce the rotational speed and increase pressure. After finishing work, clean the drill bit of concrete dust and check the condition of the tip.

Store in a dry place to protect against corrosion. A damaged or blunt tip requires re-sharpening or replacement of the drill bit, as continued use reduces performance and can damage the power tool.
