A diamond core drill bit with an M14 thread designed for drilling holes in porcelain stoneware, ceramic tiles, porcelain and composites. The steel body with a vacuum-brazed diamond edge ensures durability and precise, chip-free cutting.
Vacuum brazing creates a durable bond between the diamond segments and the steel body. This technology eliminates air pockets, increasing resistance to high temperatures and mechanical loads when drilling hard ceramic materials.
The standard M14 thread allows the drill bit to be fitted to most angle grinders on the market. Before fitting, check the spindle thread type of your grinder – M14 drill bits fit machines with a power rating of 500W and above.
A side hole in the drill body allows ceramic dust to be cleared effectively from the drilling point. This makes it easier to control the hole depth, reduces heat build-up in the tool and prevents the working area from clogging.
The 30 mm diameter matches the standard hole size for basin and shower taps and for service pipe runs. It allows a precise fit with typical bathroom and kitchen fittings.

Wet drilling significantly extends the life of a diamond core drill bit. The drilling point should be cooled regularly with water – this prevents the diamond segments from overheating and the material from chipping. A spray bottle can be used, or you can drill under a running stream of water.
Start drilling at a 45-degree angle to prevent the drill bit from slipping on the glazed surface. Once the hole has been started, the drill bit can be held perpendicular. Do not apply excessive pressure – a diamond core drill bit works efficiently with moderate pressure and high speed.
The drill bit is compatible with angle grinders that have an M14 spindle thread. Check your grinder's specification before purchase – some models have an M10 or M16 thread. A minimum grinder power of 500-750W is recommended for the 30 mm diameter.
