Digital Laser Distance Measure – 100m Laser Measure KRAFT&DELE KD10408
The KD10408 laser distance measure is a measuring device that allows non-contact distance measurement over a range of up to 100 m with ±2 mm accuracy. It handles area and volume calculations as well as right-angled triangle calculations using the Pythagoras method, which removes the need for additional measuring tools on a construction site or during finishing work.
Product features
Class II laser – 635 nm
A wavelength of 635 nm falls within the red part of the visible spectrum, which gives good visibility of the laser dot on lit surfaces. An output below 1 mW sits within the safe Class II category — a brief glance into the beam will not damage the eyes, but deliberately staring into the laser source must be avoided. The dot diameter is 8 mm at close range and 40 mm at maximum range.
Calculation functions
The device automatically calculates area (from two length measurements) and volume (from three measurements). Built-in Pythagoras support lets you work out a distance that cannot be measured directly — for example the height of a wall or the diagonal of a room — from two measurable sides of a right-angled triangle.
Continuous measurement and MIN/MAX
Continuous measurement mode updates the reading in real time as the device is moved — useful when you are looking for the point at a specific distance from a wall. Recording the minimum and maximum values across a series of measurements makes it quick to establish, for example, the widest or narrowest point in a room.
Display and operation
The backlit LCD shows several readings at once — the current measurement and intermediate results for multi-step calculations. A 20-measurement memory lets you recall earlier readings without having to write them down. An audible signal confirms every measurement taken. Automatic shut-off of the laser after 15 s and of the device after 45 s of inactivity extends battery life.
Housing and operating conditions
The water-resistant housing protects the electronics against splashes, which matters on building sites. An operating temperature range of –10°C to 50°C allows use both in heated rooms and outdoors in cooler conditions. The compact dimensions make the device easy to carry and to use one-handed.
Built-in spirit level
A bubble spirit level built into the housing lets you quickly check that the device is level before taking a measurement. Correct levelling matters particularly for measurements using the Pythagoras function, where any deviation from the vertical or horizontal introduces an error into the calculation.

Unit compatibility and reference point
