Checking compatibility

Use and maintenance

When working, pull the spanner towards you rather than pushing it away – this gives you better control over the tool.
After use, clean the spanner of any dirt and protect it from moisture. Carbon steel without an additional protective coating needs to be stored in a dry place. Periodically applying a thin film of oil protects against corrosion and extends the tool's service life.
Head offset – practical significance
The 15-degree angle allows work in cycles – after each turn the spanner can be repositioned, which makes tightening possible in places with limited movement. Where a full turn is impossible, the offset heads allow gradual tightening by repeatedly repositioning the spanner.
