Double-sided mounting tape designed for the permanent fixing of carpet, mats and runners. This professional VOREL product provides a stable bond to the substrate without the need for liquid adhesives.
Features of the VOREL mounting tape
50 mm width for a stable fix
The tape width provides a sufficient bonding area, which distributes forces evenly and prevents the carpet from lifting at corners and under intensive use. This parameter is particularly important when installing carpet in high-traffic rooms.
25-metre roll
A length of 25 m is enough to cover approximately 12.5 m² at standard tape spacing of 2 metres. One roll allows installation in medium-sized rooms without the need to join sections.
Load-resistant acrylic adhesive
The acrylic adhesive layer is resistant to delamination under pressure and offers long-lasting adhesion. Once applied, the tape retains its adhesive properties for the entire service life of the carpet, eliminating the need for re-fixing.
Installation without additional tools
Double-sided tape removes the need for trowels, brushes or other tools required when applying liquid adhesives. The installation process comes down to peeling off the protective film and pressing the material onto the substrate, which shortens working time and makes precise positioning easier.

Use and installation
Substrate preparation
The installation surface must be clean, dry and degreased. Residual dust, building dust or grease reduce the adhesion of the tape and can cause the carpet to lift. Before application, it is advisable to vacuum the substrate and wipe it with a damp cloth using mild cleaning agents.
Application technique
The tape should be laid in strips parallel to the edges of the room, keeping gaps of approximately 50-70 cm between strips. For large areas or heavy carpets, it is advisable to reduce the spacing to 30-40 cm. After sticking the tape to the substrate, remove the upper protective film and lay the carpet, pressing it from the centre towards the edges.
Installation conditions
Installation of the double-sided tape should be carried out at a room temperature above 10°C. Lower temperatures can affect the properties of the adhesive and reduce initial adhesion. After laying the carpet, it is advisable to avoid intensive loading of the surface for the first 24 hours, which allows the adhesive to bond fully with the substrate.
