A manual drain auger made from galvanised wire, designed for the mechanical clearing of waste pipes and the removal of inorganic blockages. Its construction combines the right balance of rigidity and flexibility, allowing it to reach hard-to-access points within the drainage system.

Galvanised wire — corrosion resistance

9 mm diameter — a balance of rigidity and flexibility

10 m length — reaching deep into the system
The ten-metre length allows blockages located deep within vertical or horizontal drainage runs to be reached — beyond the range of shorter tools. It is well suited to waste pipes running through several floors or over longer horizontal sections.

Use and maintenance
Before feeding the auger into a pipe, make sure the pipe diameter is compatible with the tool — a 9 mm auger is intended for pipes with an internal diameter of at least 32 mm (typical waste pipes DN 40, DN 50, DN 100). The auger should be fed in gradually while rotating the handle, which allows the blockage to be broken up or pulled out mechanically.
Once the work is finished, the auger should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water and dried before being put away for storage. Despite the galvanised finish, prolonged storage in a highly humid environment can accelerate corrosion — a dry storage location is recommended. Regular lubrication of the auger with machine oil extends its service life and makes it easier to push through the pipe.
