Tool steel blades

How does Phillips differ from Pozidriv?
Phillips screwdrivers have a cross-shaped tip with a 55° angle and a characteristic rounded end. The Pozidriv (PZ) system has additional ribs at 45° and a flat base, which provides better engagement. Using the wrong type can damage the screw recess - always check the marking before starting work.
Use and maintenance
Phillips screwdrivers should be matched to the screw size - a screwdriver that is too small will damage the recess, while one that is too large will not provide proper engagement. After working in a damp environment or contact with chemicals, clean the blades and handles. Storing the tools in the foam insert protects the tips from blunting and prevents corrosion.
Regular checking of blade condition allows wear to be detected early. Worn or deformed tips lose their grip in the screw recess, which increases the risk of damaging the screw head. With intensive use, periodically check that the set is complete and that the tools are held securely in the insert.
