A set of three locking pliers in a dedicated tool drawer insert. Comprises 180 mm and 250 mm standard locking pliers and 280 mm C-type locking pliers, providing solutions for a range of workshop applications.
The set contains locking pliers measuring 180 mm, 250 mm and 280 mm (C-type). The different sizes let you match the tool to the size of the workpiece and the available working space. The smaller 180 mm pliers are ideal for tight spots, while the larger 250 mm and 280 mm models deliver greater clamping force.
The pliers are fitted with a locking mechanism that maintains the grip without the need for constant hand pressure. Once the jaws are set and the handles squeezed, the tool stays locked onto the workpiece, allowing you to work with both hands. The grip is released by pressing the release lever.
The YT-2468 model, 280 mm long, is a C-type locking plier with extended jaws in a C shape. This design provides greater reach and the ability to grip components of unusual shapes that standard pliers cannot handle. Useful for welding, soldering and sheet metal work.
The dedicated insert with moulded slots keeps the pliers in fixed positions, preventing the tools from shifting around in the drawer. The insert makes it easy to identify missing pieces and speeds up access to the right size. Compatible with standard workshop drawers.

The smallest in the set, intended for work in confined spaces. The shorter length also means less clamping force, but greater precision and manoeuvrability. They are ideal for small components and hard-to-reach places.
A universal size offering a compromise between clamping force and ease of use. The most frequently used for everyday workshop tasks. The longer handles translate into higher clamping force for the same hand pressure.
The specialist design with extended, curved jaws allows flat components, sheet metal and profiles to be clamped over a larger surface area. The C-type provides access to the centre of larger components without needing to grip from the edge. Preferred for welding and sheet metal work.
Before first use, check that the locking mechanism and release lever are working correctly. Clamping force is adjusted with the knob at the end of the handle – turning it clockwise increases the maximum jaw opening, anticlockwise decreases it.
The locking mechanism works on an over-centre principle – once the handles are squeezed, the jaws lock onto the workpiece. Release is achieved by pressing the release lever on one of the handles. Do not force the pliers open without using the lever, as this may damage the mechanism.
After use, clean the jaws of any contamination and lightly lubricate the joints with machine oil. The pliers should be stored in the drawer insert, which prevents accidental damage to the mechanism and helps keep the workshop space organised.
