A dust guard designed for rotary hammers with SDS Max and Hex chucks. Mounted directly on the chisel, it captures concrete dust at the point of generation — before it can escape into the surrounding air. A particularly useful solution for chiselling work carried out indoors, where dust control is required for hygiene, operational or health and safety reasons.

Dust captured at source
The guard surrounds the chisel directly at the point of contact with the material, which means concrete dust is trapped before it becomes airborne. This delivers a real reduction in dust levels in the working area compared with working without a guard.
Compatible with SDS Max and Hex chucks
The two most common mounting standards on heavy rotary hammers. SDS Max is used on 5–20 kg machines for chiselling concrete and stone, while Hex (hexagonal) is found on tools for road and demolition work. Before buying, check the chuck type in your hammer's documentation.
Quick tool-free fitting
The guard is mounted directly on the chisel, with no need for additional tools. This shortens preparation time and allows the chisel to be changed quickly while a task is in progress.

How to check compatibility
The chuck type of a rotary hammer is given in its instruction manual or on the rating plate. SDS Max chucks are recognised by a distinctive slot with three locking recesses — they are used on machines with an operating weight above approx. 5 kg. Hex (hexagonal) chucks are identified by the hexagonal cross-section of the chisel shank. The YT-82981 guard is compatible with both standards.
