The KD5253 earth auger is a working attachment designed for petrol earth augers, used for boring deep holes in the ground. Its 200 mm diameter and 800 mm working length place it in the segment of tools for jobs requiring a large hole cross-section — foundations, load-bearing posts and tree planting.
Tool characteristics
200 mm diameter
A 200 mm diameter hole allows fence posts to be set, foundations for lightweight structures to be laid, and trees and shrubs with a root ball to be planted. This is one of the larger standard sizes of earth auger, used where smaller diameters do not provide the required cross-section.
800 mm length
The 800 mm length makes it possible to bore to a depth exceeding the ground frost penetration zone in most parts of Poland (normally taken as 0.8–1.2 m depending on the climatic zone). The tool is suitable for boring holes for pad foundations without the need for extensions.

Use and maintenance
Before each use, check that the auger is securely fastened in the earth auger's socket and that the locking bolts are in good condition. After finishing work, remove soil and moisture from the surface of the tool, and protect the steel parts with a thin layer of anti-corrosion oil — particularly for long-term storage. The auger should be stored in a dry place, away from corrosive substances.
When boring in ground with a high content of stones or rubble, it is advisable to work at a reduced rotational speed of the earth auger in order to reduce the risk of damaging the cutting edges and excessive wear of the tool.
