A rubber cord with a textile sheath designed for securing tarpaulins, lashing loads and organising the workspace. The core made of rubber strands provides flexibility and absorbs tension, while the durable sheath protects against mechanical damage.
The core is made of rubber strands surrounded by a textile sheath. This construction combines the elasticity of rubber with the mechanical resistance of the fabric, which prevents tearing when the cord is stretched and protects it against abrasion in use.
The 8 mm thickness strikes a balance between flexibility and load capacity. A cord of this diameter is suitable for securing medium-weight items and works well in most workshop and transport applications.
The 30-metre reel lets you cut many working lengths without having to join them. The length allows the cord to be cut freely to suit specific needs – from short, few-centimetre pieces to several-metre runs.
The black textile sheath protects the rubber core against mechanical damage, UV radiation and contact with sharp edges. This increases the cord's durability outdoors and under intensive use.

Measure the circumference of the item you are securing and add 20–30% extra for knots and tension. For a 2x3 m tarpaulin (circumference of about 10 m) you need a minimum of 12–13 m of cord. A 30 m reel is enough for 2–3 sets of fixings.
Check the condition of the sheath before use – make sure there are no scuffs or tears. Cut the cord with a sharp knife or shears, and the ends can be sealed against fraying by melting them or wrapping them with tape.
When securing a load, avoid contact with sharp edges that could damage the sheath. In places prone to abrasion, it is worth fitting protective sleeves or pads. The cord stays elastic at temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.
After use, coil the cord and store it in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Rubber loses its elasticity over time under UV exposure, so storing it indoors extends the service life of the product.
The cord needs replacing when the sheath shows visible scuffing, the rubber core is exposed through damage, or the cord has lost its elasticity and no longer returns to its original length after stretching. Check the condition of the cord regularly before every use.
