The KD10631 is an electric sharpener for petrol and electric chainsaw chains, fitted with a 650W motor and a 104x22 mm grinding wheel. It allows precise sharpening of chain cutters, with sharpening angle adjustment of up to 30° in both directions and grinding depth control.

The high power output allows hard chain cutters to be ground through quickly, without the need to repeat the movement several times. The speed of 4800 rpm ensures even grinding and a consistent sharpening result on every cutter.
Sharpening angle adjustment of ±30°
Being able to set the wheel angle up to 30° to the right or left makes it possible to match the sharpening process to a specific chain type. Different chains require different rake angles — this adjustment allows the correct cutter geometry to be maintained.
Grinding depth stop
The mechanical stop controls how deeply the wheel cuts into the cutter. This prevents the teeth from being over-ground and extends chain life — particularly important when servicing more expensive professional chains.
Chain lock and pitch adjustment
The integrated lock holds the chain firmly in place during sharpening, eliminating movement between successive cutters. The pitch adjustment allows work with chains of different pitches — from standard 3/8" to smaller .325" or 1/4".
How to check grinding wheel compatibility
The grinding wheel supplied with the machine measures 104x22 mm. When replacing it, the same size must be used. The mounting hole diameter (22 mm) must match the grinder's spindle. The thickness and profile of the wheel are selected to suit the type of chain and the required side angle of the cutter.

Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the grinding wheel is correctly fitted and set the sharpening angle in accordance with the chain documentation (the chainsaw manufacturer specifies the required angle in the operating manual). During operation, the machine should stand on a stable surface — its weight of 2.96 kg provides sufficient stability in the workshop.
After sharpening, the machine should be cleaned of metal swarf with a soft brush or compressed air. The grinding wheel is subject to normal wear — its condition should be checked before every sharpening session. A worn wheel is replaced with a new one measuring 104x22 mm.
