The KD587 is a portable electric pipe threader designed for cutting external threads on steel and galvanised pipes from 1/2" to 1-1/4" in diameter. The machine runs on 230V and is fitted with a 2400W copper-wound motor, which delivers consistent driving power during continuous operation.
Pure copper winding has lower resistance and dissipates heat better than aluminium windings. In practice, this means more stable operation under sustained load and a longer motor service life.
A set of 4 dies (1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4") made from hardened carbon steel ensures precise thread cutting and resistance to wear. The interchangeable dies allow a quick change of diameter without the need for additional tools.
A side-mounted switch with a safety guard allows the direction of rotation to be changed — forward (cutting the thread) and reverse (retracting the tool). The button guard prevents accidental start-up.
Weighing 6.5 kg and fitted with an ergonomic, wear-resistant handle, the machine can be transported and used in different locations. The supplied storage case protects the dies and accessories from damage and loss.

The KD587 pipe threader is designed for cutting external threads on steel and galvanised pipes. Typical applications:
Threading oil (cutting oil) must be applied continuously while cutting threads. Lubrication cools the cutting tool, reduces friction and extends the service life of the dies. A can of oil is included in the set. Working without lubrication leads to accelerated die wear and can result in an inaccurate thread.
