Engine Lifting Beam 500 kg – KD324
The KD324 is a steel engine lifting beam designed for use with a workshop crane (engine crane). It allows the engine and transmission assembly to be raised and moved safely during engine replacement or overhaul. The adjustable anchor spacing allows the beam to be matched to engines of different dimensions without the need for additional adapters.

The 500 kg capacity covers the vast majority of petrol and diesel engines used in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Adjustable anchor spacing 72–145 cm
The ability to reposition the anchor points across a range of more than 70 cm allows the beam to be matched to different engine mounting layouts. A wider spacing increases the stability of the lift and makes it easier to keep a heavy assembly balanced while it is being moved.
Steel construction with anti-corrosion coating
The beam is made of steel, which provides the rigidity needed under loads close to its maximum capacity. The protective coating guards against corrosion in typical workshop conditions, where tools are exposed to oils, coolants and moisture.
34 cm anchors
The extended anchors (34 cm) provide a secure attachment at the engine's mounting points even where the lifting eyes are spaced unconventionally. The longer anchor reach gives greater flexibility in positioning and reduces the risk of the anchor slipping off during lifting.

Compatibility with a workshop crane
The KD324 beam is not a standalone lifting device — it must be used with a workshop crane (engine crane). Before purchase, check that the crane hook is compatible with the beam's central lifting point. Standard workshop cranes with a capacity of 500 kg or more are usually compatible with this type of beam.
Use and maintenance
Before every use, inspect the welds, anchors and adjustment components for deformation or cracks. A beam with visible structural damage must not be used. After use, wipe the surface with an oil-soaked cloth to protect it against corrosion, particularly if the beam is stored in a damp room.
The maximum capacity of 500 kg refers to a static load. Avoid sudden jolts and dynamic loads during lifting, as these may exceed the permissible stresses in the material. The anchor attachment points on the engine must be intended for this purpose — using makeshift attachment points increases the risk of an accident.
