An 800-gram engineer's hammer with a certified steel head and wooden shaft. A tool designed for assembly, dismantling and construction work in the workshop and on site.
The head weight delivers sufficient striking force for driving medium and large nails and for dismantling work. At 800 g it strikes a balance between striking efficiency and tool control, which minimises fatigue during longer jobs.
The TÜV and GS marks confirm the hammer's compliance with European safety standards. The GS certificate (Geprüfte Sicherheit) guarantees that the design, materials and production process meet the requirements for hand tools, which matters in professional use.
The blackening process (surface oxidation) protects the steel against corrosion and increases surface hardness. Made from tool steel, the head keeps the shape of its working faces even under intensive use, which extends the hammer's service life.
The lacquered wooden shaft absorbs vibration and provides a natural, secure grip. Wedge securing involves driving steel or wooden wedges into the mounting eye, permanently joining the head to the shaft and preventing it from working loose during use.

Check the head's fixing to the shaft before every use. A loose head is a hazard and requires re-wedging or replacement of the shaft. Cracks in the shaft mean the hammer must be taken out of service.
Grip the hammer at the end of the shaft, which increases leverage and striking efficiency. Strikes should be delivered perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece. Avoid striking with the sides of the head, as this can damage the tool.
Store the hammer in a dry place, protected from direct contact with moisture. A wooden shaft may crack with large fluctuations in humidity. Periodically oiling the head prevents surface corrosion.
