Disposable YATO FFP1 dust masks provide basic respiratory protection against dust and aerosols in the workplace. The set contains 3 masks with an ergonomic shape that ensures effective filtration of solid and liquid particles.
FFP1 masks filter at least 80% of airborne particles and can be used in environments where the concentration of contaminants does not exceed 4 times the workplace exposure limit (WEL). This means protection against harmless and fine dusts.
The contoured shape of the mask fits the contours of the face, minimising the risk of leaks and contaminant ingress. The design without a nose clip makes the mask easier to use, although the seal must be checked before starting work.
The masks are intended for single use during one work shift. They must be replaced with a new one after work is finished or if they become dirty, damp or damaged. They cannot be cleaned or disinfected.
The pack contains three masks, which is enough for several days' work or allows replacement during longer shifts. The set format is economical for regular use of personal protective equipment.

FFP1 dust masks are used for work where dust and aerosols are present at concentrations not exceeding 4 times the WEL. Typical areas of use include:
FFP1 dust masks do not protect against toxic substances, gases, vapours, welding fumes or highly toxic dusts (e.g. asbestos, crystalline silica). In such environments, higher class masks (FFP2, FFP3) or respirators with suitable filters are required.
Before putting the mask on, check that it is not damaged. Place it on your face, covering your nose and mouth, and then pull the elastic head straps over your head. Once fitted, check the seal – breathe out and in sharply and watch for air escaping around the edges of the mask.
Replace the mask when:
Store unused masks in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Keep the packaging closed until use.
FFP1 dust masks are classified in accordance with EN 149, which sets out the minimum requirements for filtration efficiency, breathing resistance and leak tightness. Before use, check that the product carries the relevant CE certification.
