A specialist timing tool kit for precise adjustment of the valve timing on 1.2 and 1.2 16V petrol engines fitted to Fiat, Lancia and Ford models. It allows the valve timing to be set correctly when replacing the timing belt or carrying out engine repairs.
The kit contains equivalents of the original manufacturer tools (OEM 1860992000, 1860985000, 1860987000), which guarantees dimensional and functional compatibility with service procedures.
Three specialist tools cover the full range of timing adjustment tasks – from measuring piston position, through locking the camshaft, to tensioning the belt.
A single kit covers several engine codes (176B9.000, 169A4.000, 182B2.000, 188A5.000) in models built from 1997 onwards, which makes it more useful in the workshop.

A precision tool for determining piston position in the cylinder. Essential for establishing top dead centre (TDC) before starting the timing adjustment.
A camshaft locking tool that holds the mechanism in the correct position while the timing belt is fitted. It prevents the shaft from slipping out of position while the belt is tensioned.
A specialist spanner matched to the tensioner mechanism. It allows precise setting of the belt tension in line with the vehicle manufacturer's requirements.
Before starting work, check that the engine code matches the applications list. The engine code is shown on the engine's identification plate or in the vehicle documentation.
When adjusting the timing, follow the vehicle manufacturer's service procedure, which sets out the sequence of operations and the tightening torques. Incorrect adjustment can damage the valves or pistons.
After use, clean the tools of any contamination and protect them against corrosion. Storing them in a dry place extends the life of the kit.
