The Kraft&Dele KD260 claw hammer is a tool with a glass fibre (fibreglass) shaft, intended for joinery, carpentry and general construction work. The 600 g head drives nails effectively with moderate effort, and the built-in magnet makes it easier to position a nail before striking.
Fibreglass is more resistant to cracking and vibration than wood. The material does not absorb moisture, so the shaft neither swells nor dries out — it keeps its dimensions regardless of weather conditions.
The rubber grip on the shaft limits the transfer of vibration to the hand during strikes and prevents the tool from slipping out of the hand. This matters in particular during longer work or in damp conditions.
A magnet set into the head holds the nail in the striking position, so there is no need to hold it with your fingers. A useful solution when working in hard-to-reach places or with small nails.
600 g is a typical weight for mid-range claw hammers. It is sufficient for driving construction and joinery nails, yet does not cause excessive fatigue during work that requires many strikes.

Claw hammers are generally available in the 400–800 g range. A 600 g weight is suitable for nails 50–120 mm long. Light finishing work (nails under 40 mm) calls for lighter tools (300–400 g), while heavy structural work calls for weights above 700 g.
A fibreglass shaft does not need oiling, unlike wooden equivalents. Before each use, check that the head is securely seated on the shaft. The rubber grip can be cleaned with a damp cloth — avoid chemical agents that dissolve rubber. Store the tool in a dry place, away from sources of heat.
