Fibreglass Axe Set 3-Piece KRAFT&DELE KD234
The KD234 is a complete set of three axes with different head weights and handle lengths, designed for woodwork of varying scale — from garden tasks to general estate work. The blades are made from forged carbon steel, and the handles from fibreglass, which is resistant to weather conditions and mechanical damage.
Key features of the set
Forged carbon steel head
Forging the carbon steel gives the heads a uniform structure and increased hardness, which translates into resistance to deformation under impact loads. Diamond-ground sharpening ensures precise cutting edge geometry that can be restored once it wears.
Fibreglass handle
Unlike wood, fibreglass does not absorb moisture, swell or dry out, which eliminates the risk of the head working loose as a result of temperature and humidity changes. The material absorbs some of the vibration generated on impact, reducing strain on the wrist and forearm.
Heat-fitted head
The heat-fitting method permanently clamps the head onto the handle without the need for wooden wedges. The joint is permanent and requires no periodic tightening or checking for play. A metal collar at the top of the handle provides additional protection against the head shifting.
Ergonomic non-slip grip
The grip is coated with an oil-resistant, non-slip finish that maintains a secure hold even when working in gloves or with dirty hands. The shaped handle in the grip zone reduces the risk of the tool slipping during heavy chopping.
