The KD4287 is a compact 1200 W filter coffee machine designed for everyday brewing at home and on the move. It is fitted with an 800 ml glass carafe, a reusable filter and a Pause & Serve system that lets you interrupt the brewing cycle to pour a cup before it has finished.
Key features
Pause & Serve system
The function lets you lift the carafe out and pour a coffee at any point during the brewing cycle. The machine automatically pauses the flow, which stops drips landing on the warming plate. A useful solution when you need that first cup sooner than the end of the full cycle.
Automatic keep-warm
Once brewing has finished, the warming plate beneath the carafe holds the coffee at the right temperature without the need to reheat it. The function stays active for as long as the machine is switched on — handy when working through a single batch over a longer period.
Reusable filter
The supplied mesh filter removes the need to buy disposable paper filters. The filter can be washed and reused, which keeps the ongoing running costs of the machine down. Rinsing the filter with water before first use is recommended.
Water level indicator and simple operation
Clear markings on the tank let you measure out exactly the amount of water that matches the number of cups you plan to brew. Operation comes down to a single on/off button, keeping preparation time to a minimum.

Use and maintenance
Before first use, run a brewing cycle with water only (no coffee) to remove any residue left over from the manufacturing process. After each brew, rinse the reusable filter under running water and leave it to dry. The glass carafe is suitable for hand washing — do not expose it to sudden temperature changes (for example, pouring cold water into a hot container), as this can cause the glass to crack. Clean the warming plate only after disconnecting the machine from the mains and once it has cooled completely, using a damp cloth.
