A flap disc designed for aggressive grinding and stock removal. Compatible with 115 mm (4.5") angle grinders.
Technical features
P36 grit — coarse
P36 grit denotes a coarse abrasive with a grain diameter of approximately 530 micrometres. It delivers rapid stock removal, making it suitable for initial grinding and the removal of rust, paint or weld seams. It leaves visible scratches on the surface and requires further finishing with finer grits.
115 mm (4.5") diameter
A standard size that fits popular angle grinders with an M14 thread. Before fitting, check compatibility with your tool — the disc diameter must match the guard and the maximum diameter permitted by the grinder manufacturer.
Aluminium oxide abrasive
Aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) is a versatile abrasive used for working ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It offers good durability and resistance to the heat generated during grinding. It performs well on steel, aluminium and wood.
Flap construction
The disc consists of overlapping abrasive flaps arranged radially. As the disc wears, fresh layers of abrasive are exposed, giving a longer service life than flat discs. The flexible construction conforms to uneven surfaces.

Materials for working
The disc is suitable for working ferrous metals (carbon steel, cast iron), non-ferrous metals (aluminium, stainless steel), wood and plastics. When grinding stainless steel, use the disc for that material only to avoid contamination with iron particles.
Use and maintenance
Fitting the disc
Before fitting, disconnect the grinder from the power supply. The disc is mounted on the M14 threaded spindle using the locking nut. Check that the disc bore (22.2 mm) fits the spindle. Tighten the nut by hand or with a spanner, avoiding excessive force. The arrow on the disc must point in the direction of the grinder's rotation.
Operating parameters
The maximum disc speed is marked on the label and must not be exceeded by the grinder's speed. Typical 115 mm grinders run at 10,000–12,000 rpm. While working, maintain an angle of 15–30 degrees to the surface and do not apply excessive pressure — the weight of the tool is usually sufficient.
Safety
The use of the grinder's guard, safety goggles and gloves is mandatory. Hearing protection and a dust mask are recommended, particularly when grinding materials that produce fine dust. Never work with a disc that is damaged, cracked or has loose flaps. Protect the work area from sparks and hot particles.
Checking compatibility
Before purchase, check: the diameter permitted for your grinder (115 mm), the spindle thread type (M14), the maximum tool speed (which must not be lower than the speed marked on the disc) and the presence of a guard suited to a 115 mm diameter.
