American-type flare nut spanner made from CrV 6140 chrome vanadium steel. The tool is designed for mechanical, automotive and workshop tasks where bolted connections have to be reached in a confined working area.
The steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium offers increased hardness and wear resistance. This material gives the tool durability under intensive use and resistance to deformation when torque is applied.
The distinctive 15-degree offset angle of the spanner's ring end allows work in areas with limited access. After each turn, the spanner can be repositioned through a small angle, which speeds up work in workshop conditions.
The slot in the spanner's ring allows the tool to be fitted onto a bolt from the side, without having to undo the whole joint. This design is useful when working with long bolts or where dismantling components is difficult.
Polishing the surface of the spanner makes it easier to remove dirt and prevents oil or grease from building up. The smooth surface also increases corrosion resistance in a workshop environment.

Before use, make sure that the spanner size matches the dimensions of the bolt or nut. The 13 mm and 14 mm sizes refer to the distance between the flats of the bolt head, measured with the jaws of a vernier calliper. Using a spanner of the wrong size will damage the edges of the fastener.
Fit the spanner over the full depth of the ring so that the force is distributed evenly across all the flats. When tightening, never extend the spanner arm with a pipe – this can exceed the strength of the material and cause the tool to crack. Apply force in a controlled manner, avoiding jerking movements.
After use, clean the spanner of dirt and dry it. When working in a damp environment or one exposed to corrosion, protect the surface with a thin film of oil. Storing the tool in a dry place extends its service life and preserves its working parameters.
