A polyester flat webbing sling 4 metres long, designed for lifting and transporting loads of up to 2 tonnes in a straight pull. Its duplex construction with reinforced loops ensures safe operation in industrial, construction and logistics environments.
Features of the flat webbing sling
Working Load Limit (WLL)
The figure of 2000 kg specifies the maximum load that may be lifted in a straight vertical pull. In a basket hitch (two load-bearing legs) the working load limit increases to 4000 kg. This parameter defines the safe operating conditions in accordance with EN 1492-1.
Safety factor of 7:1
The ratio of breaking strength (14000 kg) to working load limit (2000 kg) is 7:1. This means the sling can withstand seven times the nominal load, giving a strength reserve during dynamic lifting operations.
Polyester webbing construction
The polyester material offers high tensile strength, flexibility and resistance to moisture, oils, mineral acids and petrol vapours. The duplex 60 mm-wide webbing with reinforced loops (300 mm long) increases durability at the points of greatest stress.
Operating temperature range -40°C to +100°C
The sling retains its strength parameters across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for use both in cold stores and in elevated-temperature environments. Polyester does not lose flexibility at low temperatures and does not degrade in warm conditions.

Use and maintenance
Selecting the correct hitch for the load
Before use, check that the load does not exceed the WLL for the chosen hitch configuration. In a straight vertical pull the maximum load is 2000 kg, while in a basket hitch (two legs) loads of up to 4000 kg may be lifted. The angle between the legs in a basket hitch should not exceed 90 degrees, so as not to reduce the load capacity.
Inspecting the sling's condition
Before each use, check the webbing and loops for abrasion, cuts, tears or signs of chemical damage. A sling with visible damage must not be used. Regular inspections in accordance with EN 1492-1 should be carried out by competent persons, with the results documented.
Storage and cleaning
The sling should be stored in a dry room, away from heat sources and UV radiation. Clean it with water and a mild detergent, avoiding corrosive agents. After washing, the sling should dry at room temperature. It must not be dried on heat sources or in direct sunlight.
