A carbon steel flat wood drill bit designed for drilling 30 mm diameter holes in wood and wood-based materials. The hex shank ensures a secure fit in drills and drill drivers.
Technical features
Flat bit design
The flat, wide blade geometry allows fast chip clearance and efficient drilling of large-diameter holes. The flat bit design performs well on installation work where speed and efficiency matter.
Hex shank (HEX)
The hexagonal cross-section prevents the bit from turning in the chuck during use. Compatible with standard drill chucks, cordless drill drivers and pillar drills fitted with an adapter.
Ground centring point
The sharp centring point lets you position the bit precisely at the drilling point without slipping. It ensures a stable start to drilling, which matters when working on smooth surfaces.
Carbon steel
The material provides sufficient hardness for drilling in soft and medium-hard wood-based materials. Carbon steel bits require periodic sharpening under intensive use.

Tool compatibility
The bit works with hammer and non-hammer drills, cordless drill drivers with a minimum torque of 30 Nm, and pillar drills fitted with a chuck or a hex shank adapter. Recommended speed: 800–1200 rpm for solid wood, 1200–1800 rpm for chipboard.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, mark the drilling point and set the bit perpendicular to the surface. Drill at a constant, moderate speed without excessive pressure, which can cause the cutting edge to overheat. When drilling through veneered materials, start from the face side to avoid breakout at the edges of the hole.
After use, clean the bit of chips and wood dust. Regularly checking the sharpness of the cutting edges extends the service life of the tool. A blunt bit can be sharpened with a flat file, keeping the original cutting edge angle. Storing it in a dry place protects against corrosion.
