A paint roller sleeve made from foam with a nylon flock covering, designed for use with acrylic paints and wood stains. The flocking technology eliminates air bubbles, giving a smooth finish on a range of surface types.
Foam covered with a short nylon pile applied using flocking technology. The electrostatically applied fibres stand perpendicular to the surface, which prevents air from being trapped as the paint is applied and stops bubbles from forming.
The 30 mm diameter and flexible foam allow work on both smooth surfaces (plasterboard, filler) and rough substrates (textured plaster, concrete). The sleeve adapts to unevenness without losing contact with the surface.
The 6 mm bore (5.8 mm exactly) fits standard telescopic roller frames and handles with a 6 mm threaded spindle. Before buying, it is worth checking the spindle diameter of your existing frame.
Designed for acrylic paints and water-based wood stains. The foam structure and nylon pile ensure the product is spread evenly without leaving streaks or excess material.

Before first use, dampen the sleeve slightly with water and wring it out to remove loose fibres and improve absorbency. Fit it to a roller frame with a 6 mm spindle, making sure the connection is secure.
Dip the sleeve into the paint to roughly one third of its height and roll off the excess on a roller grid or tray. Apply the paint in vertical and horizontal strokes in a criss-cross pattern, without applying excessive pressure. The flock technology allows thin, even coats.
Immediately after finishing work, rinse the sleeve thoroughly in warm water, removing all paint from the foam and nylon fibres. A mild detergent may be used. Leaving paint to dry causes the sleeve to lose its flexibility and means it will have to be replaced.
