A polyurethane foam filter element designed for industrial vacuum cleaners fitted with a filter shaker. It delivers effective filtration of contaminants during construction, renovation and workshop tasks.
Open-cell polyurethane foam traps dust particles, shavings and fine debris. The flexible material conforms to the shape of the filter cage, minimising air bypass around the filtration zone.
The filter design works with the shaker mechanism. Periodic shaking releases accumulated dust from the foam surface, extending operating time between manual cleaning.
Standard dimensions measured flat before fitting. Once fitted over the filter cage, the foam takes on a cylindrical shape. Before purchase, measure the old filter or check the vacuum cleaner documentation.
The polyurethane foam can be washed repeatedly with water and detergent. Once dry, the filter regains its filtration properties, which lowers the running costs of the vacuum cleaner.

Before purchase, measure the old filter flat (without stretching) in two dimensions: length and width. Compare with the dimensions 180 × 100 mm. A difference of up to 5 mm in each dimension will usually still allow correct fitting thanks to the flexibility of the material. If in doubt, consult the vacuum cleaner documentation or the manufacturer.
How often the filter needs replacing or cleaning depends on how intensively the vacuum cleaner is used and on the type of debris collected. When working with materials that generate a lot of fine dust (e.g. plaster, cement), the filter may need cleaning after every work session.
To clean the filter, rinse the foam in lukewarm water with washing-up liquid or detergent. Rinse the detergent out thoroughly, gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring) and leave to dry completely in a well-ventilated place. Fitting a damp filter can lead to mould growth and unpleasant odours.
Operate the shaker mechanism in accordance with the vacuum cleaner instructions, typically every few minutes of intensive use. Regular shaking prevents the foam from clogging excessively and maintains steady suction power.
Polyurethane foam wears out gradually. Signs that it needs replacing include: visible mechanical damage (tears, holes), permanent distortion that prevents a tight fit against the cage, loss of flexibility, and no improvement in suction power after cleaning.
