A type G clamp with a 1" (approx. 25 mm) jaw opening, made from cast iron. A tool intended for workshop woodworking and metalworking tasks that require a stable, focused hold on components during gluing, welding or machining.
The cast iron body gives the tool a rigid structure and resistance to deformation under load. As a result, the clamping force is transferred without the frame flexing, which means components are clamped evenly and securely.
The classic C-shaped (G) frame geometry allows components to be clamped right at the edge of the workpiece. The clamping screw, fitted with a tommy bar or wing nut, allows the clamping force to be adjusted precisely without any additional tools.
A jaw opening of 1" (approximately 25 mm) is intended for joining or holding thin components — strips, veneers, sheet metal or small sub-assemblies. The 1" size is the smallest variant in the range and is used where working space is limited.
The swivel pad at the end of the clamping screw spreads the pressure across the surface of the material, reducing the risk of denting or damaging the workpiece. For woodworking, protective pads made of wood or rubber are recommended.

The jaw opening of the clamp should be matched to the thickness of the components being joined, allowing for any protective pads. A 1" clamp is intended for materials with a combined thickness not exceeding approximately 25 mm. For thicker stacks of material, larger variants are recommended — 2", 3", 4" or 6".
