A tunnel structure designed for growing plants in a protected environment. The UV-filtering film shields plants from excessive radiation while transmitting the light needed for photosynthesis.
A cover that blocks harmful ultraviolet radiation protects plants from scorching and excessive heat stress. The UV filter also extends the life of the film itself, preventing it from becoming brittle and cracking in the sun.
A 6 m² area with a height of 2 m allows you to grow plants of varying heights. The 2 m width lets you move around freely inside, while the 3 m length provides space for several rows of crops.
Two zip doors make it easy to tend the polytunnel from either end. The zips seal tightly, limiting the entry of cold air and keeping pests out.
The arched shape allows rainwater and snow to run off, reducing the load on the frame. The tunnel form also optimises light distribution inside, minimising shaded areas.

The polytunnel should be positioned on level ground in a spot that receives sun for most of the day. The structure must be anchored to the ground or weighted down to prevent it from shifting in the wind. The doors should be orientated with the prevailing wind direction in mind.
On sunny days the temperature inside can exceed 40°C. Opening the doors regularly allows air to circulate and lowers the temperature. Ventilate during the morning hours, as the outside temperature rises.
The film needs periodic cleaning to remove dust and dirt that reduce light transmission. Washing with water and a mild detergent restores its clarity. Before winter it is worth checking the condition of the zips and, if necessary, protecting the structure against snow.
The UV filter extends the durability of the film, but the material is subject to natural ageing. After a few seasons it may need replacing, especially if cracks or a dulling of the surface appear. Storing it in a dry place out of season prolongs its service life.
