The GEKO G01778 multifunction pliers are a 9-in-1 tool for electrical and workshop tasks. They combine the functions of wire strippers, terminal crimpers, wire cutters and several auxiliary tools in a single chrome vanadium steel construction.
The chrome vanadium alloy offers higher resistance to wear and impact than carbon steel. An HRC 60 hardness rating means the cutting edges stay sharp over a long service life, which translates into clean cuts without the need for frequent sharpening or tool replacement.
The adjustable stripping range covers cables with a diameter from 1 to 4 mm. This allows work on standard installation, control and signal cables without the risk of damaging the conductor. A precision cut-out in the jaws removes the insulation in a single movement, without tugging.
The crimping die for ferrules and cable terminals covers the 16–22 AWG range, which corresponds to conductors with a cross-section of approx. 0.3 to 1.5 mm². This is the standard range used for connections to terminal blocks, controllers and electronic devices.
The handles are shaped to provide a secure grip at various working angles. This reduces hand fatigue during repetitive operations, which matters on installations that require processing large numbers of cables.

The G01778 pliers are particularly well suited to low-voltage installation work: fitting distribution boards, wiring controllers, making connections to terminal blocks, and signal and low-current installations. Combining several functions in one tool shortens the time needed to change tools during work, which matters when servicing electronic devices, alarm installations, building automation and workshop tasks involving small wiring.
Before starting work, check the outer diameter of the cable insulation (stripper range: 1–4 mm) and the conductor cross-section when crimping terminals (range: 16–22 AWG, i.e. approx. 0.3–1.5 mm²). The tool is not intended for live working — the handles do not have dielectric insulation.
