A 5-metre rubber air hose made from oil-resistant rubber, designed for compressed air systems. Supplied factory-fitted with a 1/4" quick-release coupling and plug, ready to connect.
A material resistant to contact with the pneumatic oils and greases used in compressors. It prevents degradation of the hose walls over many years of service in workshop conditions.
A rating sufficient for most workshop and industrial applications. Typical compressors operate in the 6–10 bar range, so the hose provides a suitable safety margin.
The reinforced rubber construction improves durability under intensive use – dragging across the ground, contact with sharp edges, and frequent coiling and uncoiling.
The hose is factory-crimped with a 1/4" quick-release coupling and plug. This removes the need to buy separate fittings and assemble them yourself – it can be connected directly to the compressor and tools.

An 8 mm inside diameter is the standard for tools with medium air consumption (150–300 l/min). For tools with high consumption (e.g. angle grinders above 300 l/min), hoses of 10 mm or more are recommended to avoid pressure drops.
Before first use, check that the connections are airtight – connect the hose to the compressor and open the valve without a tool attached. No air leakage at the fittings confirms correct assembly.
During use, avoid sharp bends in the hose at an angle of less than 90 degrees – these restrict the air flow and can damage the rubber structure. The bend radius should be at least 80–100 mm.
After use, release the pressure from the hose by disconnecting it from the compressor or opening the drain valve. Store the hose loosely coiled, without tight knots – this prevents permanent deformation of the rubber.
Check the surface of the hose periodically. Cracks, scuffing or swelling of the rubber indicate that the hose needs replacing. Do not repair damaged sections with tape – this can lead to a sudden burst under pressure.
