GEKO G10315 15 mm Ratchet Combination Spanner
A spanner combining an open-ended and a ring end with a ratchet mechanism, designed for 15 mm nuts and bolts. The 72-tooth mechanism allows work where only a limited swing is possible.
Technical features
72-tooth mechanism
The 72-tooth ratchet mechanism needs only 5° of movement, so it can be used in confined spaces where standard spanners require a much longer swing. The mechanism is made from hardened steel for lasting strength under load.
Chrome vanadium steel (CrV)
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The polished surface reduces friction and makes it easier to wipe off dirt after use.
Surface Drive technology
The Surface Drive profile on the ring end transfers torque to the flat sides of the nut rather than its corners. This reduces the risk of rounding the fastener and makes it possible to undo nuts and bolts with worn profiles.
Double-ended design
An open-ended and a ratchet ring end combined in a single tool. The open end is used for final tightening and initial loosening, while the ratchet speeds up work when the fastener has to be turned repeatedly.

How to check compatibility
The 15 mm size refers to the distance across the flats of the nut or bolt head. Check the marking on the fastener (M10 normally requires a 17 mm spanner, M8 — 13 mm) or measure across the flats with a vernier calliper. The spanner should fit the nut with no play.
Use and maintenance
Before use, check the condition of the ratchet mechanism — the direction-change lever should operate without binding. Fit the spanner onto the nut so that the working surfaces are in full contact.
Avoid using extension bars on a ratchet combination spanner — exceeding the torque limit can damage the ratchet mechanism or distort the ring end. For work requiring higher torque, use a torque wrench or a socket set.
After use, wipe the spanner clean of oil and dirt. Store it in a dry place. Periodically apply a drop of oil to the ratchet mechanism to prevent corrosion of the internal parts.
