A deep workshop socket in chrome vanadium steel, designed for use with 1/2" drive tools. Its extended design provides access to bolts set deep in mounting components.
The material offers increased resistance to wear and deformation. The addition of vanadium improves the structure of the steel, which translates into a longer tool life under intensive use.
The hardening process increases surface hardness while maintaining a flexible core. This prevents the socket from cracking under load and minimises wear on the working edges.
The increased body length allows work on bolts located in deep mounting recesses that are out of reach for standard shallow sockets.
The hexagonal internal profile distributes force over a larger area of the bolt head, reducing the risk of damage to the fastener edges during tightening.

The 1/2" drive fits ratchets, speed braces, torque wrenches and extension bars with a 12.7 mm square drive. Before use, check that the socket is seated securely on the drive.
Before starting work, check the condition of the socket's internal edges. Damaged or rounded edges can lead to damage of the bolt head. During use, apply force perpendicular to the axis of the socket, avoiding twisting at an angle.
After finishing work, clean the socket of contaminants and protect it with a thin layer of protective oil. The chrome-plated surface is corrosion-resistant, but contact with aggressive chemicals can damage the coating. Storing in a dry place extends the tool's service life.
