GEKO G71264 Rubble Sacks - 120L, 90 Microns

Construction sacks made from LDPE film, designed for collecting rubble, demolition waste and heavy building materials. Each roll contains 5 sacks measuring 70 × 105 cm.

Capacity120 litres
Film thickness90 microns
Dimensions70 × 105 cm
Quantity per roll5

Technical features

90-micron LDPE film

Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) at 90 µm thickness provides flexibility and puncture resistance. This thickness allows safe packing of materials with sharp edges, such as tile fragments, glass or timber with nails.

120-litre capacity

The 70×105 cm dimensions give a working capacity of approximately 120 litres. This is enough for the waste from a single room during minor refurbishments, or for regular sorting of construction waste on larger projects.

5-sack roll format

The compact roll packaging makes storage and transport easier. Five sacks is the ideal quantity for minor renovation work, without having to buy large packs.

Reinforced construction

Using 90-micron LDPE film increases the load-bearing capacity of the sack compared with standard bin liners (30-50 µm). The material remains flexible, which reduces the risk of tearing during filling.

Applications

  • Removing rubble after demolishing partition walls and stripping plaster
  • Collecting waste from removing ceramic floor and wall tiles
  • Packing fragments of concrete, bricks and blocks
  • Collecting leftover insulation materials and expanded polystyrene
  • Removing timber with nails and metal components
  • Sorting waste on site in line with disposal requirements
  • Transporting soil, sand and fine aggregate from excavations
  • Removing waste after renovation work in flats

Filling advice

Despite the reinforced construction, rubble sacks should only be filled to around 80% of their capacity, particularly with sharp and heavy materials. Leaving space at the top makes it easier to tie the sack securely and reduces the risk of puncturing during transport. When packing materials with a high bulk density, it is advisable not to exceed 20-25 kg per sack.

Differences between types of construction sacks

Rubble sacks differ from standard refuse sacks in the parameters tailored to the specific nature of construction waste:

Household refuse sacks (30-50 µm)Intended for light domestic waste, unsuitable for rubble due to the risk of puncturing and insufficient strength.
Rubble sacks (90-120 µm)Reinforced LDPE film, resistant to sharp edges and heavier loads. The G71264 model falls within this standard.
Industrial sacks (150-200 µm)The thickest sacks, for very heavy materials and sharp metal waste, used on large construction sites and in industry.

Use and safety

There are several practical points to bear in mind when packing rubble. Sharp items such as protruding nails or fragments of glass should be placed in the middle of the sack, surrounded by less hazardous materials. This reduces the risk of the film being punctured from the inside.

When transporting filled sacks, it helps to support them from underneath rather than lifting them by the tied top. LDPE film is flexible, but it can tear under a heavy point load. If the sack is to be stored outside before collection, it is worth protecting it from direct UV exposure, which can weaken the structure of the film.

Compliance with regulations

Rubble sacks make it easier to sort waste in line with waste legislation. Construction waste must be collected separately from household waste. Before disposal, it is worth checking with your local waste facility whether they accept rubble in sacks or require it loose – practices vary from region to region.
