GEKO G73546 Leather Welding Gloves
Long protective gloves made entirely from cowhide leather, designed for welding work. They protect the hands and wrists against molten metal spatter, brief flame exposure, and contact and convective heat.
Technical features
Leather construction
Made from 100% cowhide leather, which provides natural resistance to high temperatures and mechanical damage. Cowhide leather offers the thickness and durability required for welding work involving molten metal spatter and brief contact with flame.
Reinforced seams
The cotton seams of the gloves are protected with PVC tape, which forms an additional protective barrier. The tape prevents welding spatter from burning through the seams and extends the service life of the gloves in conditions of exposure to high temperatures.
Extended-length design
The long gauntlet design protects not only the hands but also the wrists and part of the forearms. This construction prevents spatter from accidentally getting under the sleeve of work clothing and minimises the risk of burns in hard-to-reach areas.
European certification
The gloves carry CE certification and meet the requirements of standards EN 12477 (gloves for welders) and EN 420 (general requirements for protective gloves). The certification confirms the appropriate level of protection against the hazards encountered during welding.

Standard EN 12477 – what it means for the welder
Standard EN 12477 sets out the minimum requirements for welding gloves in terms of resistance to heat, flame and molten metal spatter. Gloves compliant with this standard have undergone laboratory tests confirming the appropriate level of thermal and mechanical protection in conditions typical of welding processes. Standard EN 420 defines the general requirements for all protective gloves, including dexterity, sizes and marking.
Use and maintenance
Before each use, check the condition of the gloves – make sure the leather is not excessively dried out, cracked or burnt. Damaged gloves lose their protective properties and must be replaced.
Leather welding gloves should not be washed in water. If they become soiled, remove the dirt with a brush or a dry cloth. After finishing work, store the gloves in a dry place, away from sources of heat and moisture, which prevents degradation of the leather.
Welding gloves do not provide full protection against prolonged contact with flame or hot surfaces. Where exposure to intense heat sources occurs, additional personal protective equipment must be used.
