GEKO G90508-45 S1P Safety Work Shoes – Size 45
Category II safety shoes certified to CE EN ISO 20345:2011, designed to protect the feet in industrial environments. The construction combines a leather upper with a steel toe cap and a metal penetration-resistant midsole, meeting the requirements of the S1P class.
Technical features
S1P protection class
The S1P marking denotes footwear with a closed heel area, antistatic properties, energy absorption in the heel and, additionally, a metal penetration-resistant midsole (P). It meets the requirements for dry environments where there is a risk of the sole being pierced by sharp objects.
Steel toe cap 200J
The toe cap withstands an impact of 200 joules, protecting the toes from falling objects weighing up to 20 kg from a height of 1 metre. The steel construction ensures durability under intensive use.
PU polyurethane sole
The dual-density polyurethane sole combines abrasion resistance with flexibility. SRC slip resistance means it has passed tests on ceramic tile with water and detergent, and on steel with glycerine.
Metal penetration-resistant midsole
The midsole insert protects the foot against penetration by nails, wire and other sharp objects with a force of up to 1100N. Positioned between the sole layers, it does not restrict the flexibility of the shoe.

Use and maintenance
Choosing the right size
Size 45 corresponds to an insole length of approximately 29.5 cm. Check the fit before first use – the toes should not touch the front reinforcement and the heel should sit securely. Footwear that is too tight restricts circulation, while footwear that is too loose increases the risk of chafing.
Removable EVA insole
The EVA foam insole absorbs moisture and prevents chafing. It can be removed to dry or replaced with an orthopaedic insole. Regular replacement of the insole (every 3–6 months with daily use) prolongs comfort and hygiene.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the leather upper with a damp cloth, avoiding immersion in water. If it becomes contaminated with chemicals, rinse immediately with clean water. Regularly apply a leather conditioner to preserve the flexibility of the material. Dry at room temperature, away from radiators.
Service life
Safety footwear should be inspected before every use. Damage to the toe cap, sole or penetration-resistant midsole renders the shoe unfit for further use. Typical service life with daily use is 6–12 months, depending on the intensity of the work.
