Corundum grinding disc designed for working stainless steel and other metals. The fibreglass-reinforced construction ensures stable operation when grinding both flat surfaces and edges.
Aluminium oxide grains are hard-wearing and resistant to crumbling. The material effectively removes metal stock when grinding carbon steel, stainless steel and iron alloys, staying sharp for longer.
Synthetic resin bonds the abrasive grains and gives the disc flexibility during use. Fibreglass reinforcement increases mechanical strength and protects against cracking under side loads.
6 mm discs are used for surface grinding and edge bevelling. The larger working surface compared with cutting discs provides stability when removing rust and welds and when levelling surfaces.
The maximum permitted linear speed defines safe operating parameters. At a diameter of 125 mm this corresponds to a maximum of 12,200 rpm — check this value in the grinder's specification before fitting.

Before fitting, make sure the angle grinder accepts 125 mm discs and has a 22.23 mm (M14) spindle. The tool's maximum speed must not exceed 12,200 rpm — this figure is usually shown on the tool's rating plate.
The disc must be fitted with the correct washers and tightened in accordance with the grinder's instructions. Before starting, check that the disc has no cracks or damage. Personal protective equipment is mandatory: safety goggles, work gloves and hearing protection.
Discs should be stored in a dry place, away from sources of moisture. Avoid mechanical impacts and store flat or suspended to prevent deformation. Moisture can weaken the resin bond and reduce the strength of the disc.
