YATO YT-07045 Hand-Operated Grease Gun
A hand-operated grease gun designed for applying grease to the lubrication points of construction and agricultural machinery and heavy goods vehicles. The pressure die-cast aluminium body withstands intensive use in workshop and field conditions.
Technical features of the grease gun
Pressure die-cast body
Pressure die-cast aluminium offers higher density and greater mechanical strength than pressed steel bodies. The seamless construction eliminates the risk of leaks and grease escaping when the gun is used under pressure.
Quick-release cartridge system
The mechanism allows the grease cartridge to be changed without tools. This shortens downtime when refilling and makes it quick to switch to a different type of grease.
Ergonomic pump lever
The extended handle reduces the force needed to pump the grease, which cuts hand fatigue when greasing a large number of points. The shape of the handle ensures a secure grip even when wearing work gloves.

Grease compatibility
The grease gun works with standard greases of NLGI 0-3 consistency. Before changing the type of grease, it is advisable to clean the inside of the body thoroughly to avoid mixing incompatible greases, which can degrade the properties of the grease.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check the outlet coupler and flexible hose for mechanical damage. A damaged coupler can cause grease leaks or prevent a proper connection to the grease nipple. When greasing, keep the coupler square to the lubrication point; this ensures a tight connection and minimises the risk of contaminants entering the bearing.
After use, wipe residual grease and dirt off the outside of the grease gun. Leftover grease attracts dust and sand, which may find their way into the mechanism the next time the tool is used. Check the condition of the seals and moving parts periodically, especially after intensive use in dusty conditions.
Storage
Store the grease gun upright in a dry room. Moisture can corrode the internal metal components and degrade the grease. If the tool is to be left unused for a longer period, pump a small amount of grease through to keep the passages clear.
