The vice should be mounted to a stable surface using an M10 bolt passing through the hole in the base. Using washers to increase the contact area is recommended. Before first use, it is worth checking that the jaws are parallel.
The threads of the clamping screw should be greased periodically with machine grease. Painted surfaces can be cleaned with a dry cloth. With intensive use, it is worth checking the condition of the knurling on the jaws – worn knurling reduces grip.
