A protective tarpaulin made from polypropylene laminated with polyethylene, covering an area of 72 m². Its reinforced construction with rope-reinforced hems and aluminium eyelets spaced every metre ensures secure fixing over large surfaces.
A woven polypropylene core coated on both sides with a layer of polyethylene. This structure combines the mechanical strength of PP fibres with the water resistance of PE film, preventing the material from delaminating.
Weight describes the density of the material per unit area. At 80 g/m², this tarpaulin is classed as medium-weight, suitable for seasonal protection and regular use.
The edges of the tarpaulin are reinforced with a synthetic cord stitched through the material. This prevents tearing at the points of greatest stress during fixing and exposure to wind.
Metal eyelets spaced every 100 cm around the perimeter allow secure fixing with ropes, hooks or elastic cords. Aluminium does not rust on contact with moisture.

Before fixing, lay the tarpaulin out flat and check the orientation of the eyelets. Fix the corners first, then the intermediate points, keeping the tension even. For large surfaces such as this 6x12m model, two people are recommended. When covering stacks of material, leave a loose allowance at the edges so that water can run off without forming puddles.
The polyethylene surface allows dirt to be removed with water and a mild detergent. After washing, dry the tarpaulin before folding it to prevent the growth of micro-organisms. The material is mould resistant, but prolonged storage in a damp state can lead to deposits forming.
When storing, avoid sharp creases in the same places – these weaken the laminate structure. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, which degrades polypropylene over time. Do not place heavy objects on the folded tarpaulin.
At 80 g/m², this tarpaulin is not intended for permanent covers exposed to heavy mechanical loads or many years of use. If snow accumulates, remove the excess load regularly. The material is not fire resistant – keep it a safe distance from heat sources and naked flames.
