A hex bit with a 1/4" hex shank and a 3 mm hex tip is an adapter tool that allows work with power drivers and impact drivers fitted with a hexagonal socket. The 37 mm working length provides access to fasteners in standard workshop and assembly applications.
The standard 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) hex shank is compatible with most cordless drivers, impact drivers and pneumatic tools. The hex connection eliminates slipping when transmitting torque.
The 3 mm hexagonal working tip is used for hex socket screws, cap head screws and fasteners with a hex socket. The 3 mm size is one of the most widely used in electronics and precision mechanics.
The 37 mm overall length allows work in standard assembly conditions. The compact design lets you use the bit in confined working spaces without extending the tool excessively.
Tool steel construction provides resistance to twisting and mechanical wear during repeated use. The hardened surface increases the durability of the working edges and prevents deformation.

The hex bit works with all power drivers and impact drivers that have a 1/4" hex quick-release chuck. Before use, check that the tool has a hexagonal socket rather than a round one. For drills with a keyed chuck, an intermediate adapter is required.
Before each use, check the condition of the working tip for signs of wear or damage to the edges. Rounded or chipped edges can cause slipping and damage to the screw socket. The hex bit should be firmly seated in the tool chuck - a loose connection leads to loss of torque and accelerated wear.
During work, match the torque to the type of material and the screw diameter. Overtightening 3 mm fasteners can strip the thread or damage the hex socket. For seized screws, apply a penetrating fluid and increase the force gradually.
After use, clean the bit of any contamination and protect it from moisture. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion of the working surfaces. Periodically lubricating the tip with a thin film of maintenance oil extends the life of the tool.
