A deep hex socket made from chrome vanadium steel for 1/2" ratchets. The 24 mm socket size is compatible with popular bolts and nuts used in automotive and industrial applications.
The 12.7 mm square drive is the standard fitting in professional socket sets. It works with 1/2" ratchets, speed braces and extensions, making it compatible with most workshop tools.
The increased body length allows access to bolts and nuts set deep within mounting recesses or surrounded by structural components. It is particularly useful when working on suspension systems and underbody components.
The CrV alloy is characterised by enhanced hardness and wear resistance. The addition of vanadium increases resistance to impact loads, protecting the tool from cracking during intensive use.
The internal hex profile distributes torque across six points of contact instead of two. This reduces the risk of rounding off bolt heads and allows effective removal of corroded or over-tightened fasteners.

Before purchase, verify the bolt size required for the intended application. The 24 mm size refers to the width between the parallel flats of the hexagon. If in doubt, use a vernier calliper or check the technical specification of the vehicle or equipment.
Hex sockets require basic maintenance to preserve their working parameters. After use, remove dirt with a brush or compressed air. Contact with water or chemicals requires drying and protection with a thin film of oil.
When tightening threaded fasteners, torque wrenches with 1/2" sockets are recommended. This allows the tightening torque to be set precisely in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. Exceeding the recommended torque may damage the thread or the fastened components.
Deep sockets generate greater leverage than standard ones, which should be taken into account when tightening by hand. Excessive force may strip the thread or damage the tool. For seized fasteners, it is worth applying penetrating oil and waiting before attempting to loosen them.
