Hook-and-loop sanding discs designed for use with orbital sanders. The 180 mm diameter and P180 grit deliver efficient sanding of plaster and render, as well as surface preparation prior to painting.
P180 grit (approximately 82 micrometres) is used to smooth plaster, thin-coat render and remove minor imperfections. It leaves a smooth surface ready for painting or wallpapering without visible scratches.
The size matches popular drywall sanders and orbital sanders used for finishing work. The large working area allows fast work on walls and ceilings while maintaining even pressure.
The hook-and-loop system allows worn discs to be changed instantly without tools. The strong grip holds the disc securely during use, eliminating the risk of it slipping off while sanding.
Aluminium oxide (electro-corundum) is hard and wear-resistant, which translates into a longer disc life. It performs well when sanding medium-hard mineral materials such as plaster and render.
The layered construction with flexible foam ensures even pressure on uneven surfaces. The backing absorbs sander vibration, improving working comfort and finish quality.
The perforations make it easy to connect the disc to dust extraction systems, reducing dust in the workplace. Efficient dust removal prevents the abrasive grains from clogging, extending disc life and improving finish quality.

Before buying, make sure the sander has a 180 mm hook-and-loop backing pad and 8 dust extraction holes arranged to match the disc. Most professional drywall sanders and orbital sanders meet these requirements. If in doubt, check the tool's technical documentation or consult the manufacturer.
Before starting work, check that the disc is correctly attached to the sander's backing pad. When sanding, apply even pressure without forcing, as excessive pressure can shorten disc life. Connecting a dust extraction system significantly extends disc life and improves finish quality.
Replace the disc when the abrasive grains are visibly worn or when sanding efficiency drops. The hook-and-loop backing allows a worn disc to be pulled off the pad easily. Storing unused discs in a dry place away from moisture prevents premature deterioration.
When sanding, wear personal protective equipment: a dust mask or filtering half-mask, safety goggles and hearing protection. Working in well-ventilated rooms or with a dust extraction system connected minimises exposure to mineral dust. Regular breaks are recommended to reduce the effects of prolonged vibration exposure.
