A connector for repairing and joining 3/4-inch garden hoses. It lets you quickly restore damaged hoses to working order and create longer watering lines without having to replace an entire section.
The 3/4" (19 mm) size matches standard garden hoses with a higher flow capacity. Before buying, check the diameter of your hose – the 3/4" value refers to the internal diameter of the hose. This size delivers a higher water flow than the popular 1/2" hoses.
The body is made from a combination of three plastics: ABS provides the structural rigidity, PP (polypropylene) delivers chemical and heat resistance, and TPR (thermoplastic rubber) increases flexibility and grip during fitting. Combining these materials results in resistance to impact and weather conditions.
The design is based on a clamping mechanism that needs neither a screwdriver nor a spanner. The hose is inserted into the connector opening and secured by turning the clamping ring. A watertight seal is achieved by the internal gaskets and the mechanical clamping of the hose walls.
The materials contain UV stabilisers that prevent the structure from degrading in sunlight. In practice, this means that a connector left outdoors throughout the season will not lose its mechanical properties or develop cracks in its components, which is a common problem with cheap alternatives.

Before buying, measure the internal diameter of your hose. The 3/4" size corresponds to a diameter of around 19 mm. If you have a 1/2" hose (around 13 mm), this connector will not be compatible – choose a model designed for the smaller diameter. Also check the markings on the hose itself – manufacturers often print the diameter on the surface of the hose.
Fitting the connector involves cutting off the damaged section of hose and inserting the ends into the openings in the connector. The hose should be cut squarely so that it sits evenly against the gasket. Once the hose is pushed fully home, tighten the clamping ring by hand until the hose is held firmly in place.
Before first use, it is worth checking the seal of the connection with the water supply turned on. If you notice any leaks, tighten the ring or check that the hose has been inserted to the correct depth.
At the end of the season, if the hose stays outdoors, the connector does not need to be removed. The materials retain their properties at temperatures from -20°C to +60°C. Before winter, however, it is advisable to drain the water from the hose to prevent cracks caused by freezing.
The connector requires no special maintenance. Periodically checking the connections for leaks is recommended, particularly after winter. If limescale or dirt builds up on the surface, rinse it with warm water. Do not use solvents or sharp tools for cleaning, so as not to damage the gaskets.
