Professional 20-tonne hydraulic body repair kit for workshop tasks requiring precise spreading, lifting, straightening and bending of components. A complete kit with hydraulic pump, interchangeable extensions and three types of working foot.
This parameter defines the maximum pushing force the hydraulic ram can generate. A value of 20 tonnes (196 kN) makes it possible to spread structural components, straighten frames and pull bearings and bushes under workshop conditions. Actual force depends on the pressure in the hydraulic system and the diameter of the piston.
The minimum and maximum distance over which the kit's components can be set apart. 330 mm is the starting position with the ram retracted; 460 mm is the maximum spread with the piston fully extended. The 130 mm difference is the working stroke of the ram. Interchangeable extensions increase this range by a further 10-50 cm.
The mechanism that pumps hydraulic oil into the ram. Fast-action means the pump uses a two-stage system: it initially advances the piston quickly at low resistance and, once resistance is met, switches to high-pressure mode with a slower advance and greater force. This shortens working time while retaining the full working force.
The kit contains four extensions (10, 20, 30 and 50 cm) that can be joined together, plus three types of foot: flat (for flat surfaces), conical (for precise positioning in openings) and cross (for a stable purchase on uneven surfaces). The connectors allow configurations to be assembled to suit the job in hand.

Before starting work, measure the distance between the points of support and assess the force required. If the distance exceeds 460 mm, extensions must be used. The maximum force of 20 tonnes is sufficient for most workshop tasks, but it must not be used for jobs requiring forces above 196 kN. Always check that the support is stable and use the appropriate feet.
Check the hydraulic oil level in the pump and the condition of the high-pressure hose at regular intervals. The protective springs on the hose ends guard against damage when bending, but sharp bends below a radius of 10 cm should be avoided. After work, release the pressure with the release valve and clean dirt from the ram. Store the kit in the metal case, protected from moisture and dust.
The extensions can be joined to one another with the supplied connectors, giving a greater reach. When joining them, tighten the connections by hand, avoiding over-tightening, which can make subsequent dismantling difficult. Before starting the pump, make sure all connections are secure and that there is no play in the assembly.
