Professional workshop tool designed for the safe replacement of springs and shock absorbers in McPherson strut suspension. It allows work both on a fully assembled vehicle and on a stripped-down chassis.
Pumping is carried out with a foot pedal, leaving both hands free to control the compression process. The maximum ram travel is 325 mm, providing sufficient working range for most spring types used in McPherson suspension.
The working height can be adjusted in seven steps, allowing the unit to be matched precisely to the spring length. The working range from 225 mm to 565 mm covers the dimensions typically found on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
The small jaw handles springs with a diameter of 80-145 mm, while the large jaw covers the 100-205 mm range. This configuration accommodates everything from compact city cars to larger family cars and SUVs.
Heavy-duty steel sections provide stability when working under load. The compressor is fitted with steel angle brackets fixed to the base, plus upper and lower supports, ensuring even distribution of force during spring compression.

Compressor frame with hydraulic ram fitted • 2 steel angle brackets fixed to the base • Foot pedal for operating the ram • 2 sets of spring jaws (small and large) • Upper and lower support • Instruction manual
Before starting work, check that the spring diameter falls within the range supported by the jaws you have selected. The small jaw is used for springs of 80-145 mm and the large jaw for the 100-205 mm range. Before pumping, make sure the spring is correctly seated in the upper and lower jaws.
The working height is adjusted by selecting one of seven available positions. Choose a position that allows the uncompressed spring to fit inside the frame while leaving enough ram stroke for safe removal once the spring has been compressed.
Pump gradually, watching for even compression of the spring. The foot pedal allows controlled application of force. Once dismantling is complete, release the pressure slowly using the release pedal.
Regularly check the condition of the hydraulic ram and the oil level. Before each use, inspect the jaws and supports. Store the unit in a dry room, protecting the steel components from corrosion.
