Impact Socket 1/2" 6-Point 28mm CR-MO
Professional impact socket with a 1/2" drive, forged from chrome molybdenum CR-MO steel. Designed for use with pneumatic, electric and cordless impact wrenches in automotive workshops and industrial service environments.
Technical characteristics
Chrome molybdenum CR-MO steel
A material with greater flexibility and impact resistance than standard CR-V steel. It retains its mechanical properties under repetitive impact loads, which eliminates the risk of cracking and deformation when used with pneumatic wrenches.
1/2" drive
A universal drive standard (12.7 mm) compatible with 1/2" impact wrenches, ratchets and extension bars. The drive dimensions ensure a stable connection with the tool's anvil, minimising play and vibration during use.
28 mm 6-point profile
The hexagonal internal shape of the socket distributes force over a larger contact area with the bolt or nut. This reduces the risk of rounding the edges of fasteners, particularly where threads are worn or corroded.
Retaining hole
A cross hole allows the use of a retaining pin, which prevents the socket from coming off the tool's anvil when working in hard-to-reach places or under heavy loads.

CR-MO and CR-V steel compared
Impact sockets are made from chrome molybdenum steel because standard chrome vanadium steel (CR-V), used in hand tools, cannot withstand impact loads. The differences have a direct effect on durability and on safety at work:

Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the socket size matches the dimensions of the fastener. A 28 mm socket fits M18-M20 nuts and bolts (depending on the standard). Verifying the dimensions prevents thread damage.

Maintenance
