Professional impact socket with an M12 SPLINE profile, made from CR-MO chrome molybdenum steel. Designed for intensive use with impact wrenches in workshop and industrial conditions.
The SPLINE (multi-spline) system provides a larger contact area with the bolt than a standard hexagon. It minimises the risk of slipping and damage to the bolt head, particularly at high torque. The M12 size corresponds to bolts with a 12 mm thread diameter.
A 1/2 inch drive square is the standard for medium-power pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. Compatible with most workshop tools. Fitted with a pin hole to stop the socket coming loose.
A material with increased resistance to impact and material fatigue. The molybdenum content increases the steel's flexibility, which allows it to absorb vibration and shock without cracking. It retains its mechanical properties under repeated impact loads.
A dark protective layer shields the surface against corrosion in the workshop environment. It increases the tool's durability on contact with moisture, oils and the chemicals used in service workshops.

Impact sockets are made from various grades of steel. The choice of material has a direct effect on the tool's durability and range of applications.
| Parameter | CR-MO steel (chrome molybdenum) | CR-V steel (chrome vanadium) |
|---|---|---|
| Impact resistance | Very high – designed for impact use | Limited – mainly for hand use |
| Flexibility | Higher – absorbs vibration and shock | Lower – may crack under heavy loads |
| Hardness | Stable under dynamic loads | Suitable for static loads |
| Application | Impact wrenches, industrial, heavy engineering | Hand wrenches, ratchets, DIY applications |
Make sure the bolt has a SPLINE (multi-spline) profile rather than a standard hexagon. The M12 size means a bolt thread diameter of 12 mm. The impact wrench must have a 1/2" square drive. Before use, check that the socket is correctly seated on the drive and secured with the pin or retaining ring.
Before each use, check the condition of the socket – no cracks, correct shape of the SPLINE profile. Use only with pneumatic or electric impact wrenches of suitable power. Do not use with torque wrenches or hand ratchets.
After finishing work, clean the socket of dirt and oil. Store in a dry place, protected from moisture. Regularly check the condition of the anti-corrosion coating – a damaged layer can lead to rust.
Do not use extensions or adapters that may reduce the stability of the connection. When working with rusted or seized bolts, use penetrating fluid to reduce the load on the tool.
