A ring spanner with dielectric insulation, designed for work on live electrical installations. The offset ring design provides access to connections in confined working spaces.
Insulation that meets the VDE standard protects the user against electric shock when working at up to 1000V AC. Every tool undergoes dielectric testing in line with the requirements for insulated tools, which is mandatory when servicing live electrical installations.
The spanner head is offset at an angle to the axis of the handle, which increases clearance above the working surface. This makes it easier to reach nuts in recesses and behind obstructions, where a standard straight spanner does not allow free movement.
The shaft is made from CrV alloy steel, which offers increased hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. This material retains its strength properties under prolonged load, which matters when connections are tightened repeatedly.
The handle is made from several layers of insulating materials and provides a secure grip in a range of working conditions. The anti-slip structure reduces the risk of the tool slipping out of the hand, particularly when working in damp conditions or wearing protective gloves.

The VDE mark (Verband der Elektrotechnik) confirms that the tool meets German safety standards for work on electrical equipment. VDE insulation up to 1000V AC means that the tool has passed dielectric tests at a test voltage of 10000V for 5 seconds and may be used at working voltages of up to 1000V alternating current. Tools with VDE certification are mandatory for live working under the health and safety regulations for electricians.
Check the condition of the insulation before every use – cracks, scratches or mechanical damage disqualify the tool from live working. The dielectric insulation must not be painted, taped or modified in any other way, as this affects its protective properties.
VDE insulated spanners should be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources and chemicals that may damage the insulating coating. The tool should not be exposed to prolonged contact with mineral oils, organic solvents or acids.
Clean the spanner with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents that may damage the insulating layer. After contact with conductive substances (metal dust, moisture), clean and dry the tool before using it again.
